We discussed Robert Green and the philosophical question What would you save if your house is burning to the ground?...I have pondered this question since I heard it on the movie Leap Year. What would I save? Robert Green said he would save his journal and family...The journal was his talisman. He wrote everything about his life so he could remember it at a later date. Teach means "symbol" and "to show" Robert Green's journal was just that, a talisman that showed him his life, his memories. I tried the journal thing, never can keep up with it. But what does bring me joy (from time to time) is looking at photos of memories gone by. What can I say I am a nostalgic sap. I like the saying a picture is worth a thousand words - never tried writing a 1000 words based on one photograph but should try it. Besides a box/photo album, I would save my Tigger stuffed animal. I have had my Tigger for years. He has traveled many a places with me - my comfort animal. A few of my memories that I hope to take with me if my house ever went up in flames (knock on wood)...
